I’d love the Rams to try to pull the trigger on him. Seems like a Les move.

I am all for it, This is the type of moves we should be looking at. The $$ seem to make sense for now with some possible adjustments and would provide an elite player for the next decade. I agree the part about Coleman being upset, but I think you bring him in to learn the defense, moving around the field at first. Everything seems to indicate this is a franchise CB with ability. attitude and reputation.

I'm just thinking that McVay wouldn't have the heart to send any of the current Rams to Miami.

Rams can’t continue to trade top picks for players in line for contracts. Was doable when goff was on cheap.

Someone on another site threw out a #1 and either Reynolds or Thomas for him. Sorry there is no way in hell Im giving up either a #1 or Reynolds for a player that would be a luxury not a need. Also I don’t get the continuous suggestion of trading Reynolds. Have we forgotten the role he played when Kupp went down?

Including this season.. Fitzpatrick has 3 years on his deal.... I forget if the 5th year option travels with a traded player.
But.. if it doesn't, you still have the franchise pick for a 4th year of control.

Patrick is absolutely the kind of player and contract you should trade a first for.

It does travel with the player. They;re using it this year on Peters.

My own personal reaction though is that this group has found and will find DBs. They need resources for DL.

Exactly that’s why I thought it felt like a les move.

#1 we spend so much time in sub packages that he would be a great chess piece he has played safety and corner they moved him all around against the pats and he was one of the major reasons the beat them.

#2 he could possibly be a replacement next year to Talib, Peters, ROBEY-Coleman, or even Weddle.

# 3 money 💰. 2019 -1,227,626
2020 - 1,975,252.
2021 - 2,722,878
2022 - possible franchise tag or let walk.

Well... prime corners ain’t that easy to get.

Exactly right Dick....prime corners are not easy to get......We should stay very close to this, these types of elite players only come high in the draft, which we are not going to see for some time.

he's great just don't see how The Rams can make the move
would you want Marcus Peters if you were the Dolphins? Not that he's not talented, do you think his head would be right if he was traded at this stage to the phins? Could we keep him and get Fitz?

great great player, perhaps too disruptive of a deal to a team with really good chemistry

I look at this in a totally different way. In a perfect world the Rams will be picking 32nd in the draft next year if they won the Superbowl. Even if we dont and say they pick 31st or even 30th, it's no way they are getting a CB/Safety of Fitzpatrick caliber at that spot at the end of the first round. I would not trade any players from our team to the Dolphins unless it's a reserve like Troy Hill or something. Fitzpatrick has a very favorable contract and could easily replace Talib or Peter's next season (I honestly believe Peter's will be here for a long term deal). The Dolphins are flat out awful and getting an additional late first round pick for a disgruntled player should be a no brainer.

I agree that Fitz is worth a first round pick, however if Whit leaves after this season, we have to fill that void, Brockers is up to. I think the Rams may believe they can cover the CB position without using the draft capital, with Peters(extending) and Long
