Not much news about Greg the Leg other than McVay's claim that he expects Greg to be available come opening day. Back injuries can linger and get exacerbated again and again.

Losing him will be a big blow to our chances.

Also, Mannion is pathetic. I hope the undrafted the kid takes his gig.

It’s offseason and you expect talk about a kicker? Granted the NFL’s best kicker coming back from an injury. It takes a couple months to heal. No need to be kicking at this time of year or be fretting about an injury that has been dealt with.

We will see when training camp comes. Herniated disks are fully recoverable. It just depends on the individual injury.

Why create a gloom and Doom situation? I trust that McVay and Bones will make the right call.

I hope not but it's possible, maybe that he has peaked. Even if he totally recovers - maybe just a little of the range is gone.

I've had that same back surgery...it's a game changer, you're never really 100% again after that...we'll have to see how he does in training camp, I guess....it's the same surgery Quinn had..and ended Larry Bird and Joe Montana's careers...he's not on the contact side of the ball, but you gotta be able to put that back into the long ones

Yes, thanks for the info, rong. With all this hope of a Superbowl run, it sure would help to have Greg the Leg. It's waiting and hoping time.

They kept Ficken around for more reasons than just a camp leg imo. Back injuries can be very tricky as rong said. Hoping he's ok.
