I hate to see Austin Blythe backing up Jamon Brown....he is 290 soaking wet...we are giving up nearly 40 pounds of beef if he comes in for Brown. Now Demby is as big or bigger than brown...and stronger too....maybe he takes the job....hoping so....he looked great at the senior bowl.
Here’s a shocker... I agree with you.
It’s totally irrational and one of those “Blink” judgements.. but I just have a weird feeling Demby is going to be a very good NFL guard. Maybe sooner than later.

That would be a best case scenario for the Rams. Demby was drafted to develop for next season when the Rams would be looking at both of their offensive guards being unrestricted free agents. If Demby could fill in for Brown to open the season and play well Brown may have a difficult time regaining his starting job. Brown could have cost himself millions of dollars with this error of judgement. Rams will have three offensive lineman up for contracts next season and it’s doubtful they could resign all three. They really need some of those younger offensive lineman to step up this year to give them options for the future.

I wouldn't call it stealing his job........if Demby is the starter that means he earned it ... and is a better player then Brown.......!!

Bleacher report has Brown as the #55 guard in the NFL he received a score of 14/25 in pass blocking and 16/25 in run blocking.Saffold ranked as the #9 guard in the NFL and received a score of 16/25 in pass blocking but had a score of 18/25 run blocking.

That has yet to be determined.
What you're saying is like when an idiot baseball analysts says, "he projects as a bench player in the majors".
Really? Don't try to develop the guy or anything.

The LA Rams - Making the NFL Great Again!

He was drafted to be a guard & his physical profile is that of a guard.
He’s going to play guard in the NFL.
