I’m not. The amount of concussions he has had makes you seriously ask yourself do I really need this anymore. Too much life left to live. Good for him I say.

And the whole CTE thing,I believe it’s only a matter of time, maybe 20 years before the NFL and tackle football on any level is outlawed

As a big rugby fan, i can see a few rules being taken up by the NFL, for example:

- tackling without the arms (too much of that in NFL usually using head)
- spear tackle - lifting an opponent off the ground..
- jumping over players.
- shoulder chargers
- collar tackles and tackles around the head.

that will solve some open field tackling/issues, big problem is in the trenches which i cannot see how they can solve without a fundamental change to the regulations.

maybe better technology will help to highlight helmet to helmet contact in the trenches.

I think maybe Marcus Peters is just ahead of the curve here and we are the idiots. His idea of a tackle may be the future rule. Just ask nicely to please fall down.

28, 30 or even 18, if you’re noggin has taken too many hits, you best sit.

Props on amazing career going full speed every play. He’s earned his millions and the ability to walk away with all the marbles he has left.

HOF'er in my eyes. Was the best LB in the game for many years

He has stated in the past he was not going to have a long career. He obviously hit a good life space and will never have to work again if he so chooses. Enjoy life for a long long time

It's about money. He has a ton. He would come back and play if money was an issue

money has nothing to do with this decision. it's about quality of life. he doesn't want to be that guy who has CTE at 35.
